Improving Access to Psychological Therapies

Angela Fenwick member of the APMT Executive is pictured beside Alan Johnson MP Health Secretary with the Savoy Declaration.  Angela attended the recent launch of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies in the NHS for the APMT.  The APMT are a signatory of the New Savoy Declaration and we hope our position there will widen the debate around provision of appropriate forms of psychological therapy especially for those unable to access verbal forms of treatment.

Radio 3 - Music Matters

Music in Health was the topic for Radio Three's Flagship Show "Music Matters" on Saturday 1st March.  The APMT and MusicSpace provided much background material to the researchers of this programme and a contribution was made from Dr Gary Ansdell from Nordoff & Robbins Music Therapy.  The APMT supports the key role Music therapists have within the developing Music/Arts in Health agenda, particulalry in the areas of training and supervision.
